Cannizzaro Goes on Rampage Against Cardinals

Today at Busch Stadium, the St. Louis Cardinals topped the San Diego Padres in spite of a standout batting performance by catcher Chris Cannizzaro.

Cannizzaro had a very impressive day at the plate, spanking St. Louis pitching for 5 base hits, but couldn't do enough for a win. St. Louis whipped San Diego by the score of 13-11.

Chris Cannizzaro singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.

Currently Cannizzaro is batting .295 with 2 home runs and 13 RBIs.
