Bell Sparkles in 6-0 Blanking of Tacoma

Jerry Bell of the Portland Beavers was one tough customer on the hill, blanking the Tacoma Cubs, 6-0, on 2 hits.

"When he's on, he's tough to hit," said Tacoma manager <Jason McHone:coach#260> after the game. "He's just a bulldog out there."

The 22-year-old Beavers right-hander registered 4 strikeouts and allowed 2 walks and 2 hits.

To date Bell is 3-6 in 10 starts with a 4.00 ERA and has 41 strikeouts in 72 innings.
