So far in his young career, Art Kusnyer has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Pacific Coast League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts.

The 24-year-old Tucson Toros catcher hit at a torrid .556 clip as he collected 10 hits in 18 at-bats, 2 home runs, 5 RBIs and 6 runs scored.

This season, Kusnyer is batting .329 with 2 home runs. His totals include 10 RBIs and 9 runs scored.
