Orlando Starter Named FLOR's #1 Pitcher
In May when the Orlando manager wrote the name "Enyart" on the lineup card, he knew he had a good shot at winning. Start after start in the month, Terry Enyart took the hill, took charge and usually got the win.
He dominated with a 4-0 mark and 0.65 ERA in 6 starts. The gifted Twins star pitched 41.2 innings, fanned 46 and held opposing teams to a .189 average.
For his outstanding mound performance Enyart was named the FLOR Pitcher of the Month by the baseball writers.
This season, Enyart has 5 wins and 1 loss and a 1.98 ERA.
Enyart Blanks Miami, 1-0
The Miami Marlins ran into a buzzsaw at Tinker Field, as Orlando Twins starter Terry Enyart cut them down to size, 1-0, tossing a 4-hit shutout.
"That's one thing that has never changed in this game -- pitching can control hitting," Twins manager Brent Donley told reporters after the game. "Terry knows exactly what he's doing. He's not going to throw you a good pitch until you make him throw one."
In the complete game win, the Orlando hurler doled out 6 walks and registered 10 strikeouts.
