Mello Caps Great Week
The Raleigh-Durham Triangles received word today that second baseman Ed Mello was selected Carolina League Player of the Week for his stellar performance in last week's games.
Mello took full advantage of all 31 plate appearances last week as he hit .367 with 11 hits, 1 home run, 5 RBIs and 5 runs scored.
For the season, Mello is batting .321 with 72 hits and 1 home run. He has scored 26 times and batted in 14.
